Running a Hispanic household alongside my spouse, I humbly accept the Home Manager of the Year and #1 Chaos Coordinator Awards. This God-led home blends our Mexican, Honduran, and Louisianian cultures together, with Spanish being our home language.

I love using my brain! I believe that convenience is the death of you. I like wordplay and finicky things; I genuinely enjoy meticulous tasks. That 1, 000-piece puzzle of the three pink bubble gum balls? Yep! Give it to me! I believe that music is what feelings sound like and that every experience either has or will serve its purpose. I’m a dig my feet in the bare dirt, lie in the grass underneath a light rain, race you barefoot on the gravel road in a Louisiana summer type of girl. I love hard because I was loved hard; and I might complain about it – but I’ll get the job done.

Moving away from home was painful, but it came with opportunity. I’ve been gifted space to really live within my neurodivergence: allowing myself to explore and create in ways that would have been “out of the norm” and “quirky” back home.

The littlest of the Acosta bunch has established independence, so this mom of three is easing her way back into hobbies and interests that were paused for a time: exploring beauty, health, and exercise wellness; reading and researching random topics; drafting clothing patterns and machine sewing personal clothing pieces; actively working in my business Spanglish Language Solutions, LLC; and drinking my coffee or tea while it’s hot – the first time!
